Today leaders are very Misleading

Image
If I was as an alien and landed in planet Earth for the first time...I would look around and see that this society is sold on pure looks and lies. Our biggest leaders are entertainers on television. Leaders such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Megan Fox,and Kim Kardashian. Leaders that for the most part are very talented but have made drastic decisions that goes further than fame. Each and everyone of these "leaders" have been through surgery to appear "prettier" or more "presentable" for the mass public. Entertainers such as Musicians and actresses should be just that, entertainers. There are not many true leaders making a difference in today society, maybe this is why our youth do not have any choice but to look at our entertainers. Who are our true leaders of today???? One leader cannot do it alone. Education should be even more important now than before but instead everyone's goal is to be on television and seek fame. Like do you realized that most of these c...

Prayer is more important than breathing

Image
I understand that my title is very strong but I mean every word. If I am not in constant connection with God I feel lost and without spirit. Praying to God is keeping in mind that he loves me no matter what and that he will always listen..I have learned through out my years that most people only pray when they are lost or in really bad situations. I also found myself doing the same until I felt God delaying his response to me the more I treated him this way. God always came to my rescue but it was more like I was not in his favor type of help. I started to feel like a foster child to God and I did not like it at all. Therefore, I decided to put time into God like how he designed me to do. I started praying more, mediating for the first time, and actually reading the bible. God has put me back in his realm of kingdom, where I belong. I feel reconnected with God because I decided to put him first in my life not to use him as a back up plan. Pastor Toure' Roberts at #OneChurch in Nort...

TOP 10 things Guys look for in a Girl

1. LUSCIOUS HAIR "If a girl's hair looks like it smells good, then I start thinking what it would be like to bury my face in it." 2. A-BIG LAUGH "It shows that she's having a good time. I'm not into the brooding thing" 3. THE THINGS YOU CARRY "Women's paraphernalia is so revealing, the book she's reading or if she's carrying a bright pink phone. i can tell a lot by the color of her phone, actually!" 4. WHAT YOUR POISON IS "A girl who can handle a strong drink is attractive. She doesn't have to be slugging a Guinness, but if she comes in and orders a martini, I know I'm going to like her." 5. YOUR PUCKER "Her lips are one of the very first places my eyes go to." 6. A PAIR OF SKYSCRAPERS "I always look at a girl's shoes. Know who you are...and who you are not...

I am not my short curly hair. I am not my slim yellow body. I am not my smile with my straight white slight over bite teeth . I am not my Caribbean heritage. I am not my half Spanish half English language. I am not my clothes. I am not my college education. I am not my past nor my future. I am not my mistakes nor victories. I am a child of God. I am here only to follow him and to enjoy his blessings. If you ask me I am living in heaven.. I know my father is God.

A lil Memo

At times you feel like you been at the same spot for too long then you think that something is going wrong but it's only because you got to that particular spot way too early...take your time and go with the speed that God has for you not the one you chosen..

Easy Seven Steps to a Brighter Future

#EXPLORE THE WORLD One more great excuse to book that flight to Brazil, Dominican Republic or whatever exotic country calls your name. Immersing yourself in a foreign culture can enhance creative thinking. Research has shown that people who live abroad are better at creative tasks such as drawaing, writing, and problem solving. "Outside their cultural context, they're forced to relearn the meaning of simple things." says study author William W. Maddux, Ph.D., assistant professor of organizational behavior at insead, a business school in Fountainbleu, France. For example, leaving food on your plate may be an insult in the United States, but it's polite in China. "The ability to look at things from multiple and different perspectives leads us to increased creativity possibly by changing how the brain is wired," Maddux says. If living abroad is not an option, learning a new language or becoming an experts on a foreign cuisine may strike that spark for you.

Easy Seven Steps to a Brighter Future

2. EAT LIKE A GREEK! Ever Wonder why so many philosophers in ancient Greece were making brilliant observations well into old age? We'll never know for sure, but the Mediterranean diet like high in fruit, vegetables and healthy fats like olive oil; low in salt and red meat definitely didn't hurt. Mediterranean diet followers have a 40% lower risk for Alzheimer's, Research at Columbia University notes, and other studies have linked this way of eating with reduced risk for memory loss. Experts claim the diet's powers might be due in part to its inflammation fighting antioxidants. Try out Med inspired recipes from self.com and enjoy them with a glass of vino but listen, MODERATE wine consumption is part of the plan lol. Hope this little piece of knowledge inspires you to eat healthier :)

Easy Steps to a Brighter Future

There are Seven Steps that are recommended for a BRIGHTER FUTURE which are, 1. BREAK A SWEAT 2. EAT LIKE A GREEK 3. EXPLORE THE WORLD 4. WATCH YOUR WEIGHT 5.HIT THE SACK 6. TRY SOMETHING FUN and 7. DIVIDE AND CONQUER. I will explain each one of these in detail day after day. Lets start with 1. BREAK A SWEAT: "physical exercise may be one of the best ways to maintain cognitive functions as we grow into our mid twenties and early thirties," Says Fred H. Gage, Ph.D., professor of age-related diseases at the Salk Institute in La Jolla, CA. His landmark research showed that exercise significantly increases the rate of blood flow to the hippocampus, a brain region vital to memory, which generates new cell growth and improves mental processing. Studies Shows that the young people that works out at least 2x a week have better memory flow and think wiser about making everyday decisions. So now that we know going to the gym does not only helps our body physically but also mentally........

This young soul is full of spirit and an amazing gift. Her vocals and the way she plays the piano is incredible. Image
Check out Barry Floyd A.K.A TeeTee from the hottest B.E.T show right now "The Game" in his interview with Izzy... 1. How does it feel to be in such a successful T.V show like "The Game"? ..It was the second most watch debut show on BET ever, which is crazy ... "Real good to be working, specially after the show went away for a year we didn’t know if it was gonna come back and that was scary. It is a blessing because it is very rare that a show after it gets cancel comes back up in another network..It is definitely a blessing to be here." 2. How is your character TeeTee different from the real Barry Floyd? "I think TeeTee puts up with a lot more than I probably would. For example when in one of the episodes, TeeTee walks in on Malik and his 'girlfriend' in the jacuzzi and all TeeTee did was walked away. In real life I would’ve had a much bigger reaction like maybe throw a toaster in the jacuzzi or something lol." 3. What should we expect i...

Lamar Edwards a.k.a Mars (1500orNothin)

It was a Wonderful pleasure to speak to someone so successful but yet so humble in the music Industry like Lamar Edwards aka Mars. He is a producer who is very passionate about his art. He grew up in Lancaster,Ca in a family with many musicians. He has a very strong upper hand on other producers now days because he is Handsome with a beautiful smile lol but mainly he is very versatile in his sounds. Right After high school Mars continued producing music and came together with the Band 1500 or Nothin with Larrance, Bam, Brody Brown, and Uncle Chucc. lol it was funny to me how they came up with the name 1500 or Nothin. Every time they would perform on stage they wouldn't accept nothing less than $1500. So they would always say "1500 or Nothin" and people started knowing them by that. Young as he is, Mars has worked with some of the biggest names in the game right now like TI, Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Snoop Dog, Game, Mary Mary, and so many more. For the Ladies who don't...
