Interview with BJay
Had the Amazing opportunity to have met the up and coming rapper BJay from the Mazerati Music label. I met him while putting together the #HealthyBoobs non-profit event and he was so down to earth. He was so kind to commit to help us raise money and awareness that I was impressed. But the first time he impressed me was when I first heard his two singles "Wassup With Me" and "Russian Roulette". This kid is only 20 years old, born and raised in the District of Columbia (DC) and killing the streets with these Hot singles...He was destined to be on this Blog...Hope you enjoy it
1. When did you start taking rapping as a career?
-I Was About 14 or 15..When I Realized Not Only Was I Good At It, But Fools Was Actually Encouraging Me To Stay In Da Studio.
2. What was one of your biggest obstacle when you decided to be in the music business full time?
-Being Patient..Realizing That Nothing In This Business Is Just Given To A Nigga..you Gotta Work, & Be Patient..So Yeah, It Was Tough Learning How To Do that.
3. What is a lesson you had to learn the hard way in this industry that you did not have any idea off before entering it?
-How To Interact With My Supporters (I Don't Call Em Fans). Before Music, I Was A "To Myself" Type Of Dude..that's Cool & All, But In Dis Field Of Work you Ji Gotta Be More Outgoing & Less Dry, Basically..lol..Or You'll Just Be Another Nigga In Da Room...
4. Wale or Wiz Khalifa?
-Wale. & It's Crazy Cuz I Use To Fuck Wit Wiz HEAVY..But, you Know How Folks Get Once They Go Mainstream. The Music Is Good Music, But U Know, I Like That OLD Wiz..So, Ima Roc With Wale..

-Um, Idk...I Don't Really See Nobody Else In My Lane..What's An Artist Who's Aggressive, Talk About The Streets, But Yet, Can Give A Song Strictly For The Females Without The Autotune Shit? I Really Can't Compare Myself To Anyone..I'm Just B-Jay

-Hmmmm...It's Kind Of A Tie Between Cool & Dre, The Runners, Or The Neptunes...Either Of Them I'd Let Do My Whole Album. They CRAZY On Da Beats.
