1. When did you first realized that this is what you wanted to do?
When I was like 10 or 11 years old, I always loved drawing things like landscapes etc..But it came from my mom she would dress up for work with blazers & pencil skirts ....she def influenced me.

2. Who was your biggest push to make you jump out there and do do it?
I really had to tell myself I know this what I'm here do....To leave a mark in the fashion industry.

3. What was your first big break in this fashion Industry?
Well I went to school and I enter a competition, which led to a show when I was 18yrs old during fashion week. I got to dress 3LW and be on MTV WWD, it was amazing seeing how much just believing in yourself would take you too.

4. How did you become a designer for Pastry Shoes?
Angela and I been friends since High School, our friendship is been over 10yrs and after I was done with school, we just spoke about me joining the team for the line & when I went to the office and presented my ideas I landed the job.

5. Everyone is watching you right now and waiting for more greatness...How does it feel?
Well I know people want and expect more from me which is great, but watching sound funny and weird but I guess all I can say is keep looking out, this year is going be big for me...so much going on.
6. How did you gain respect in the fashion world as a fashion designer?
I'm not sure, I don't think I have gotten there yet, I haven't earned my spot yet nor the spotlight yet, I'm almost there. All I can say is when I have Anna Wintour on the front row of a fashion show, then yes I have gotten "the respect of the industry".

7. Tell us about your latest collection and who or what was your inspiration?
Well my collection for spring 2011 was based on the idea of a woman going on vacation. Focusing on the key items on this trip. I thought about what she will need in order to look fabulous for the 7days of the week. If you notice, she has swimwear, day wear, and definitely gowns for the summer parties in St.Topez. I would say simplicity & definitely well polished.

8. What is the age group and figure shape your collections are aimed for?
I think all women from as long as u know yourself and body, you can wear Juan Vargas till you 70yrs old and still look chic.

9. Were there times you fell discouraged? How did you come up from that?
Never, I am still working on this dream... there are lot people who call them selves designers but really haven't paid there duties so I don't think I ever been down that road yet, maybe once more $$ come then I think yes.

10. What else can we expect from your designs? Where do you see it going in the next 5yrs?
Well soon, I'll have my stuff in an L.A shop and in Africa. For know I am working hard with my lovely team, Somti Ebi, her and I are working hard to expand this brand. Therefore in 5yrs I will definitely be on top of the world and all those red carpets.

******Just wanted to add that I would like to thank my beautiful friends VANESSA & ANGELA SIMMONS, specially for always believing in me*******
